(12.21) A little website news: 2018 marks the 22nd year of Soul Killer's
activity, a huge thank you to all who have followed along. For this
year, and all years going forward, I have decided to move the yearly
top 10 to the middle of December instead of the beginning of January.
My goal with putting it in January was to catch any last minute albums
released at the end of the year. But since so few albums get released
at that time, I've decided to move it ahead a few weeks, if for no
other reason than to create a nice christmas list for people. So please
welcome the yearly top 10 to its new home, middle of December! Also,
while we don't do a readers top 10 anymore, some of you still send me
your top 10 via email, and if you feel the urge, please continue to
send them in, I find every list interesting and I check out any band on
there I haven't heard of. Thanks again for 22 great years!
(12.11) Unmerciful
are about to finish writing their new album. They have also parted ways
with vocalist Kristopher Bolton, who leaves on good terms.
(12.11) Cannibal Corpse
guitarist Pat O'Brien has been arrested for breaking into a home and
then running
toward a deputy with a knife. Shortly after the event, a massive fire
broke out at his home (which was about a half mile away) with exploding
ammunition inside. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control
after about an hour but struggled due to the ammunition inside
exploding due to the flames. Officials say there were military-style
flamethrowers inside the
home, making the fire much harder to battle for firefighters.

new album will be called "Human", and will be released March 1st 2019.
(12.07) Looks like Hideous Divinity
are planning a new album for next year.
(12.05) According to Burton C. Bell, a new Fear Factory
album has been completed, has been handed over to the label, and should
be released early next year.

begin recording their new album, tentatively titled "Salve Ignis", in

(11.29) Erik Lindmark, founder of Deeds Of Flesh
and CEO of Unique Leader Records, has passed away. He had Multiple
Sclerosis, and spent the last few months in the hospital. The label

Deeds Of Flesh has always been one
of my favorite
death metal acts, and Erik's label has put out so many spectacular
metal albums over the years, it just crushes me this news. Condolences
to his family, his contribution to the extreme metal scene was
tremendous, Erik's amazing work as both musician and label owner will
never be forgotten.

vocalist Bill Robinson broke his Femur while performing at the Glass
House last weekend, and so the band has dropped off the tour. They will
spend the next few months working on album 5 while Bill recovers.

(10.16) Guy Marchais, former guitarist for Suffocation,
has announced that he is currently in remission from Cancer after

Paul Abbott's cause of death has been officially revealed by the
Clark County Coroners office. He died of natural causes, more
specifically, dilated cardiomyopathy (an enlarged heart) as well as
severe coronary artery disease, a heart condition. Dilated
cardiomyopathy results in is a chronic weakening of the heart muscle,
typically the main pumping chamber (or left ventricle). The ventricle
stretches and thins (dilates) and can't pump blood as well as a healthy
heart can.

Guitarist Ralph Santolla passed away yesterday from a heart attack at
