song takes.

(10.02) Brutality
have decided to call it quits for the second time. Thanks guys for some
excellent music over the years! Here's the full statement: "After 34
years, all the demos, EP’s and Albums. We have decided to finally say
it’s time to stop on a good note. Brutality will no longer be
performing as a band. We would like to thank all of our fans that have
supported us over all this time. You have been the reason we were able
to do any of it. Although we haven’t been the biggest band we have the
most loyal fans in metal. We also want to thank all of the artists,
designers, merchandise companies and Independent record labels that
have been so gracious to provide their services sometimes at no cost
simply because they were fans as well. We are lucky to have had such
dedicated people on our side. “ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO A END!!!!!”
Sept 2020
(09.29) Burton C. Bell has announced he is officially leaving Fear Factory.
You can read his full statement here,
but in short, it seems he's disgusted with the other band member's
recent legal fight over the Fear Factory name, the fight has drained
his finances, and he's just done with dealing with the drama of the
group.
(09.28) Deeds Of Flesh
finally reveal the details of their new (and likely last) album. After
founder, songwriter and guitarist / vocalist Erik Lindmark passed away
from Sclerosis in 2018, there were a lot of questions about the
album he had in progress when he died. From the sound of things, he had
finished recording all the music, and had partially mixed it. So former
members Jacoby Kingston and Mike Hamilton rejoined the band to write all the lyrics for
the songs, and then they got a whole host a guest vocalists to help
record the vocals (including Luc Lemay, John Gallagher, George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, Frank Mullen, Matti Way, Bill Robinson, and many more). The album will be called
"Nucleus" and is the final in the alien related trilogy the band was
doing when Erik passed away. The album will be out Dec 11th 2020. Go
here for the track 'Alyen Scourge" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EC8-3PImbeA

(09.15) Antropofagus
are about to record a new album.
(09.15) A teaser on the Deeds Of Flesh
facebook page seems to indicate that the album Erik Lindmark was
working on when he passed away in 2018 from sclerosis
has been completed and will be revealed Sept 29th. More details when I
have them, would be wonderful to see the album, in whatever form it
exists, released as a final chapter in an amazingly influencial band's
career.
(09.13) I usually don't report on band drama, since I really have
no interest in it, but a thread has started up on all the shenanigans
going on in the Fear Factory
and former Fear Factory camp. https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/burton-c-bell-distances-himself-from-upcoming-fear-factory-album-says-his-focus-is-on-ascension-of-the-watchers/
Very short version: Dino and Burton finished a Fear Factory album in
2017, but weren't able to release it due to a lawsuit over the Fear
Factory name with former band mates. The lawsuit has now cleared up and
Dino wants to re-record parts of the album (the original album had
computer drums, and he wants to rerecord with real drums and rerecord
the guitar and bass to more closely match). So Dino set up the GoFundMe
mentioned below. Burton doesn't see why anything needs to be
re-recorded, and so has distanced himself from the project. Then former
FF bassist Christian Olde Wolbers made some disparaging comments about
Dino and Burton on twitter. Anyways, to sum up, if you'd like a newly
recorded album that will likely sound better than the original, donate
to the GoFundMe. If you are fine listening to the original version of
the album that has computer drums, I suspect it'll get released if
Dino's GoFundMe doesn't get all the money it needs. And in all honesty,
after the release of the album, since Dino seems like the only original
person left, I'd be more than happy to see the band officially laid to
rest. They produced some spectacular music and were true pioneers in
the genre, but all good things come to an end and with all the yelling
going on, now seems like the perfect time.
(09.11) Apparenrly the legal battle over the Fear Factory
name has been resolved, but Dino and Burton need the money to finish
off the new album, and so have started a GoFundMe.
