1) PERIPHERY:
Juggernaut Alpha / Omega
This double album has the perfect blend of catchy tunes and brutal
bludgeoning riffs. A masterpiece.
|
|
2) PUTRIDITY:
Ignominious Atonement
From the insanely precise drumming to the whirlwind riffing, this album
is probably just the most brutal thing I have ever heard, and dominated
my itunes for the last 3 months of the year.

3) CATTLE
DECAPITATION: The Anthropocene Extinction
The band took all of their various elements that never quite worked
together as well as they should and balanced them perfectly for this
release, really intense.
|
|
4) CRYPTOPSY:
The Book Of Suffering Tome 1
Short EP, but a strong continuation of what they did on their self
titled release. Can't wait for the second Tome.

|
5) NAPLAM
DEATH: Apex Predator - Easy Meat
Still intense after all these years, and still manages to surprise with
an odd sounding riff.
|
|
6) RIVERS OF NIHIL:
Monarch
Nice debut, very heavy and thundering material. Love the cover art too.
|
|
7) LOST
SOUL: Atlantis - The New Beginning
Best album from the band an an excellent example of symphonic brutal
death metal. |
|
8) SANZU:
Painless
One of the heaviest albums I have ever heard.
|
|
9) SLAYER:
Repentless
Despite the loss of 2 original members, Tom and Kerry still have it in
the riff and intensity department. |
|
10) GODS
OF EDEN: From The End Of Heaven
Quite a surprise, progressive, neoclassical, super fast double bass,
catchy, angry, this band has it all covered.
